Patent and Utility Model Gazettes – an easy way to monitor patenting activity in Finland

Welcome to our refreshed publications! On 15 January 2010, the Patent Gazette and the Utility Model Gazette, previously published in PDF format, were upgraded to electronic web publications. From now on, the gist of their content will be available also in English on this web site (Archive).

The gazettes are published in Finnish and Swedish only, but by reading these pages in English you can get up to date with exclusive rights in Finland:

• You will know when a patent application will be available to the public, and you can monitor an application in our PatInfo database to see how it is progressing. 
• You will know when a patent is granted and decide whether you want to file an opposition against it.  
• Each month, hundreds of patents become valid in Finland through the European Patent Office: the Patent Gazette tells you when a European patent is valid in Finland.
• A utility model application is made available to the public once it is registered. This is also published in the gazette.
